1. The applicant can apply for the manufacturer identification code at the local coding branch, and provide three copies of the business license or business license of the enterprise legal person. (Saved by the China Article Numbering Center, the coding branch where the applicant is located, and the enterprise where the applicant is located);
2. Fill in the Registration Form for Member of China Commodity Barcode System, which can be filled directly on the ANCC website. (Note: If the application form is filled out online, it needs to be printed and stamped and submitted to the local coding branch);
3. Please fill in the basic information form of the subsidiaries of the group company;
4. After the local coding branch conducts a preliminary review of the applicant's application materials, the coding branch signs the qualified materials and submits it to the China Articles Coding Center (hereinafter referred to as the Code Center) for approval;
5. After the coding center receives the application materials that have passed the preliminary examination and the fees paid by the applicant (see Table 1), the coding center will approve the registered manufacturer identification code to the applicant and complete the approval process.
6. The applicant receives the membership certificate of China Commodity Barcode System, and the application ends.
The use of barcode scanning is a major trend in future market circulation. In order to make commodities circulate freely and widely around the world, enterprises must abide by the relevant regulations of commodity bar codes whether they design, manufacture, apply for registration or use commodity bar codes.
Bar code knowledge
The meaning of the item number (EAN-13), taking the barcode 6936983800013 as an example, is divided into four parts, from left to right:
1-3 digits: a total of 3 digits, corresponding to 693 of the barcode, which is one of the country codes of China. (690-695 are the codes of mainland China and are used internationally);
4-8 digits: a total of 5 digits, corresponding to 69838 of the barcode, representing the manufacturer code, applied by the manufacturer and assigned by the country;
9-12 digits: a total of 4 digits, 0001 corresponds to the barcode, which represents the product code in the factory, which is determined by the manufacturer;
The 13th digit: a total of 1 digit. The 3 digits corresponding to the barcode are the check code, which is calculated from the first 12 digits according to a certain algorithm.
